Peace and Activism

eagles wings peace
I want to write something challenging. Something that makes a statement. But I feel that I sometimes I want to push myself and perhaps others beyond what God really wants. Maybe we should have more sabbaths in the week in today's world.
But here are two links to what I'd really like to say. Perhaps to where I'd really like to be. I wish more people read my blog so that I could point them there. They are peaceful, refreshing bits of writing. David (who is in Pietermaritzburg) and Denise who is in the far away USA.

Thank you .... Have you read\listened to Anne Robertson's material. Her mp3 devotionals are humorous and poignant.

Jenny, I am deeply honored. Tell me sometime, what moves you and why.

I will come back and look here-- thank you for finding me.

Hi Denise

I enjoy your blog. Without thinking too deeply about it - your experiences with Karen were very meaningful. I like things that take me out of myself into a deeper place that I wouldn't have found myself. But I'm not an artist in any sense so . . .

Thanks for your comment!

Hmmmm. My MFA advisor also loves the Karen stories, and I'm focusing on retelling them in one continuous story, this fall.

Part of the reason for my focus is that I can't reach Karen, and when I do, things will never be the same. I miss her, and I'm sure she misses herself and her former life so deeply. She's been hospitalized since May, now without a phone, let alone visitors who are not family. They say she is too tired.

Thanks-- that helps me to know I'm headed in the right direction, both me and my broken heart, missing her.
